¡Experimenta!

ESP. Después de un largo silencio (lo siento en lo más profundo de mi corazón) vuelo con cosas nuevas. Esta vez le he puesto el ojo a un tal Txaber al parecer residente en Bilbao, España (poca información más pude rascar). Es su web tiene unos cuantos experimentos de lo más interesantes que no deberíais dejar de ver. A mi me ganó con uno en especial, Helmes, que mezcla “dos de las mejores tipografías” con un resultado bastante llamativo.

ENG. After a really long silence (sorry from the bottom of my broken heart) I’m back. And I bring new stuff. This time some guy that calls himself Txaber, who apparently (that’s all I got) lives in Bilbao, Spain, caught my attention. In his website we can find several interesting experiments that you should see. The one the I like the most is Helmes, a combinations of ‘two of the best typographies’ with a really nice result.

ESP. Un proyecto fascinante de un antiguo compañero de clases. Jorge Dueñas ha creado una “biblioteca gráfica digital” que viene como anillo al dedo si estas en el medio de una investigación o simplemente para conseguir un poco de inspiración de los padres de todo lo que hacemos hoy en día.

Leer así mola más.

ESP. Leer mola. Los motion graphics también molan. Si mezclas las dos cosas consigues un resultado doblemente molón. Súper molón. Increíble de hecho. Pavel Paratov es ruso, tiene 22 años (eso dice en su perfil de youtube, yo todavía no me lo creo) y sabe mover muy bien las cosas en una pantalla.

ENG. Reading in good. Motion graphics are good too. Mix both you get something double good. Super good. Amazing actually! Pavel Paratov is from Russia, he’s 22 years old (that’s what it says on he’s youtube profile, I’m still in shock) and he knows how to move things on a screen.

Esos ojos.

ESP. Hacia tiempo que no “miraba a los ojos” a una pintura. Michael Shapcott lo has conseguido, chaval. Y es que este tío de Connecticut sabe usar muy bien sus pinceles… Eso colores, esas caras, esos ojos.

ENG. It’s been a while since I stop at a painting and just stare in the “eyes” of it. Michael Shapcott you got me there, mate. This guy from Connecticut sure does know how use his brushes… Those colours, those faces, those eyes.

ESP. Con Thomas Benech no sabes muy bien si la ilustración se hace escultura o la escultura se hace ilustración. Ambas te dejan igual de sorprendido. Este artista francés, afincado en Madrid, buen amigo y guapo a rabiar será al que cederé mi jardín para llenarlo de sus piezas cuando sea millonario.

ENG. With Thomas Benech you never know exactly if sculpture becomes illustration or the other way around. Both leave you breathless. This French artist, living in Madrid, good friend and handsome gentlemen definitely is going to be the one I choose to fill up my garden when I become a millionaire.

ESP. Apenas está estudiando y ya se puede ver cosas interesantes en su porfolio. Christophe Barneau, residente en París parece tener ganas de comerse el mundo ( y el sistema solar).

ENG. He’s only a student and already has some interesting stuff in his portfolio. Looks like Christophe Barneau, living in Paris, want to have the world (and the whole solar system) for supper.

Block-Bloque-Blok!

ESP. Un juego de tacos para “niños curiosos” entre 7 y 10 con elementos típicos y tradicionales de Polonia, en ingles y polaco, representado con ilustraciones folklóricas polacas. Desde luego Theresa Decker, una diseñadora gráfica residente en San Francisco, es una chica con un estilo del que podíamos aprender todos.

A Multilingual (english-polish) Building Blocks game for “curious children” between ages 7 to 10 with typical and traditional Polish elements represented with Polish folk-art themed illustrations. I’m sure Theresa Decker, a graphic designer living in San Francisco, is a girl with a style we all can learn something from.
